Our Story
Mark Snider is a professional land use planner with 32-year of experience helping shape new communities. He got his feet wet in land development early, working alongside his father to create a lakeside subdivision north of Kingston in the 1980s. As a Planning consultant, Mark has been involved in numerous exciting development projects across eastern Ontario as a designer and project manager. Mark and Miriam were the owners and creators of Kennebec Shores in Frontenac County, and before that Mark was part of the team that created Badour Farm Waterfront Community on Bobs Lake and Crow Lake about one hour north of Kingston, Ontario. Both Kennebec Shores and Badour Farm have been recognized as eastern Ontario’s premier lakeside developments. A key aspect of the success of Badour Farm and Kennebec Shores alike is the environmentally responsible way in which these communities were designed and developed. Mark is a lifelong resident of cottage country and recognizes the importance of the health of these lakes to environmental integrity and local economic stability.
In 2021, with their lots in Ontario waterfront communities almost sold out, Mark and Miriam set their sights on coastal properties in Prince Edward Island, where Miriam was raised and where they own a cottage. Their Island properties are in exceptional seaside communities along the Island’s warm south shores between Summerside and Charlottetown. Then, in 2022, Mark began a project closer to their home in Westport, Ontario, creating Trailside at Chaffeys, beautiful wooded estate lots in the Village of Chaffeys Lock on the historic Rideau Waterway, and adjacent to the 104km long Cataraqui Trail.
