Rolling hills and seaside vistas make Prince Edward Island the perfect setting for some of
Canada’s best golf courses. PEI actually has the most golf courses in Canada per capita. The
Island boasts 28 golf courses over a relatively small geographic area, making it a destination for
golf lovers. Six of these golf courses are located within about a half an hour's drive from
Dunrovin Shores and Sunset Dunes. Whether it’s your first time on the green, or you’re an
experienced golfer looking for a challenge, PEI has courses for every skill level.
PEI also holds some of the most challenging courses, if you’re looking to test your skill. The
Links at Crowbush Cove is a top-rated, championship golf course located in Morell, just over an
hour’s drive from both Sunset Dunes and Dunrovin. Dundarave is another highly rated course
known for its red sandstone, located near Brudenell, approximately an hour and a half drive
from Sunset Dunes and Dunrovin. Both courses attract golfers from all over the world and are
highly recommended by local golf enthusiasts.
Is PEI good for beginner golfers?
If you’re new to golf, PEI has a number of courses perfect for beginners and intermediate
golfers. Strathgartney Highlands Golf, Red Sands, and Glen Afton golf courses are affordable
options for beginners and are about a 30-minute drive from both Dunrovin and Sunset Dunes.
For the more seasoned golfers, Countryview, Anderson’s Creek, and Clyde River Golf Clubs are
all spectacular courses located only 30-40 minutes from Dunrovin and Sunset Dunes. And what
better way to follow up a great day on the course than to indulge in a great seafood dinner and
a sunset walk on the beach. Now that’s living!
